| John Farlie Steps Down |
Having been a wonderful ambassador for the PT Branch over the past year and attending events up and down the country, John has decided to step down from his role as the RMA National Standard-bearer.However, we are delighted that John will continue to be the PT Branch official standard-bearer! If any former PTI would like to learn how to be a standard-bearer and help John out on occasions, I am sure that he will be delighted to help train you! John is currently selling his house in Hertfordshire and is moving to Hayling Island, so could do with a brief respite to his hectic timetable! You can read about John's efforts to become the Corps National Standard Bearer in the full article ('articles' tab) & perhaps be inspired to take part yourself next year! I am sure that you would like to thank John for all of his fine efforts in this role over the past year - a big 'well done!' on behalf of us all. photo: JOHN FARLIE |
| RMA MEMBERSHIP |
Following the RMPT Branch Reunion Club’s 40th Anniversary the RMA Board of Trustees agreed that we could become an official RMA Branch in 2011. This will draw us much closer in supporting the Royal Marines Corps ''family'' concept and provide our PT Reunion Club members with the additional benefits of being a full member of the RMA. If you have not already done so, please ensure that you complete the RMA application form (available on the RMA website) which requires a passport-sized photo for you ID card which provides easier access to locations, including CTCRM, in this age of increased security. The process only needs to be done once and is easy and quick. Please support us by sending your details on the appropriate form to the RMA. photo: JOHN FARLIE |

After six most successful years completely transforming the RMA as the Chief Executive, has decided to stand down from his appointment and the plan is for him to hand over his role by Christmas. Between now and then candidates for the replacement CEO appointment will be interviewed by a board consisting of RMA and Corps members. |
| COUNTERMARCH PROVIDES RESETTLEMENT SUPPORT 09-10-2011 Countermarch is a computerised network tailored as a resettlement tool and is complementary to the Royal Marines Association. The RMA continues its valuable function of keeping us all in touch with the Corps and old comrades. The benefits of such networks are considerable to anyone seeking civilian employment or other support. |
